Day 12-13 Full of flavour
Hi my lovely friends and readers..
I cannot believe it has been almost 2 weeks since I have started my get fit and fab journey. I am already starting to feel the changes, my clothes are fitting better and I am feeling so much more energetic!!
I was talking to a friend today who started her journey yesterday and we were talking about the foods we ate, what we consider treats and what we added to our food.. Now I love to cook, I love to eat but I HATE bland tasteless food!! I will add things such as sweet soy to my stir fry, I will have a little light sour cream on my sweet potato or Quiona chicken bites, I love mayo on chicken with salad and I love marinaded!! Some of you may be gasping now as you read this, particularly if you are seeing a nutritionist or a personal trainer as most of those things are a no no to you..
I look at food and flavours this way.. If I am going to to change my lifestyle so that it is healthy and I am eating the right foods then I need to enjoy it.. I cannot see the point starting something that I am going to hate and only give up after I have lost weight or after a few months, I need to change my lifestyle not just my waistline!! I can almost guarantee if we loathe the food we are hating we will go back to the way we were and that is eating junk! I know that during the day I am making the right choice, I am eating the right foods and adding flavour will not heart me but help me in the long run.
So in the short I am saying enjoy your food, don't be afraid to add flavour and enjoy all the new and wonderful dishes that your healthy lifestyle can come up with!!
